Hunger and Eating
Food is required to fill the hunger bar, which influences the energy bar.
There are multiple categories of food, some are only different by name and icon.
Tip: To eat special foods and pills grants status
Well-rounded nutrition which take 50% less
Hunger for 3, 6 or 10 hours!

Thirst & Water
Thirst is more important than hunger, having a greater impact on the energy-bar, and depleting it faster.
There are several fluids, which may be put in flasks and
glass bottles:
Water, clean
- "Clear water is among the things you miss most in the apocalypse! You'd better not ruin it by mixing it with dirty water."
Water, dirty
- "This water has gotten pretty stale, you can even see algae inside. You can still drink this, but it might have some noxious side effects."
Water, contaminated
Blood
- "If this browser game was about vampires, this item would be valuable. But then the game would be crap, so this is just disgusting. Yuck!"
- Sidenote- using, for example Substances may decrease water quality up to instant-deadly level (this is not represented by an icon, the flavor text stays the same..)

Water which has been put into a container looks like this: Water, variant. It is used in certain situations in-game (for needed quality visit corresponding page).
Water which has been put into a weapon looks like this: . It MAY NOT BE REMOVED.
Clean water is the only water that will not damage your
health. This effect is applied every time a non-clean water source is used for drinking.
- This effect may be lowered by filling in water of a better quality, but it may not be removed completely.
- All
container with
Water (variant) inside may be cleaned completely only by using a
Water Purifying Tablets or a
Betakosimate !
- Drinking water from a container reduces the level of impurity.
- Impurity of drunk ration = Prior impurity of drunk ration * remaining rations/(remaining rations + 1)
- The
glass bottle left behind by drinking "alcohol", those and all found
containers are always CLEAN. Use them to store your
clear water.

Some Pills may also help you fighting hunger and thirst..
